WITHOUT CONSENT Part 2: TRANS PASTOR’S DCF ABUSE CLAIM DESTROYED FAMILY, LED TO DAUGHTER’S SUICIDE
Key Points
Key Quotes: Elvira Syed, Mother of Ilene Syed
“I heard about Pastor Aaron Miller from a DCF (Department of Children and Family) social worker. Aaron Miller filed a complaint against me after he saw my daughter only once for emotional abuse because I was refusing to affirm her gender identity due to my Muslim beliefs.”
“If it was not [for] Pastor Miller, if he did not put the wedge between me and my daughter, my daughter would be still alive.”
“Reverend Aaron Miller calls himself a Christian, but I question what kind of gospel he’s preaching because it’s not the pastor. It’s not the protector. It’s just the voice and the system which tells kids that their problem is their parents.”
“He did not just file the [DCF] claim. He destroyed the lifeline. He destroyed our family.”
“If it was not [for] Pastor Miller, if he did not put the wedge between me and my daughter, my daughter would be still alive.”
Following the release of Part 1 of our investigation, Project Veritas now unveils Part 2, featuring the devastating testimony of Elvira Syed, a mother who details how Reverend Aaron Miller, a transgender pastor at Metropolitan Community Church of Hartford, Connecticut, played a pivotal role in her daughter Ilene Syed’s tragic death.

Project Veritas’ undercover footage in Part 1 exposed Reverend Miller and Tony Ferraiolo, a transgender youth director, captured on video guiding a 12-year-old minor toward gender transitions without parental consent, including providing breast binders and encouraging secret support groups. Part 2 deepens this investigation with Syed’s heart-wrenching account, tying Miller’s actions to a Department of Children and Families (DCF) complaint and the destruction of her family.
Syed’s story began in October 2023, when she visited her daughter Ilene, who was studying at Rider University in New Jersey. Expecting a joyful reunion, Syed was met with a distant stranger who, she claims, had been consumed by gender ideology. Ilene had met Miller after sending him an email, and after just one meeting, Miller filed a DCF complaint against Elvira Syed, accusing her of emotional abuse for not affirming Ilene’s male gender identity due to Syed’s Muslim beliefs.
According to Syed, Miller’s complaint falsely accused her of forcing Ilene to wear female clothing and threatening to withhold financial support for college. Syed explains that she initially affirmed Ilene’s transgender identity in 2022, allowing male pronouns, a legal name change to Raven, and male clothing, but stopped after noticing Ilene’s increasing distress and meltdowns over misgendering. Syed reverted to female pronouns and gender-neutral clothing, which Ilene continued to wear even after cutting contact. Syed also denies Miller’s claim of forcing Ilene to undergo “in-home conversion therapy,” stating she showed Ilene documentaries about the risks of hormonal therapy as part of responsible parenting.
Project Veritas has confirmed that Reverend Aaron Miller filed a DCF report in November 2023 after a single meeting with Ilene Syed. Our review of the report reveals that Miller attributed Ilene’s suicidal ideations to her mother, Elvira Syed, for not affirming Ilene’s gender dysphoria, and urged DCF to assume guardianship of Ilene. Miller opposed DCF’s suggestion for family therapy for the Syeds, instead recommending a life coach for Ilene. Notably, Reverend Miller never met with Elvira Syed to gain her perspective before filing the complaint.

Tragically, within a year of Miller’s DCF report, Syed would learn from police that Ilene, referred to as Raven, had taken her life at Rider University. It would be four days before her body was discovered in her dorm room. Syed believes Miller encouraged Ilene to sever contact with her family, affirming that she could access free college support and taxpayer-funded gender-affirming care, including hormones and mastectomy.
Syed asserts, “If it was not Pastor Miller, if he did not put the wedge between me and my daughter, my daughter [would still be] alive.”
Our Part 1 investigation revealed Miller’s pattern of bypassing parental rights, with footage showing him coordinating to provide a breast binder to a 12-year-old without parental consent, stating, “Can you have Justin measure the circumference around his body – his chest at the nipples? Then I can get the binder from Tony and we can meet.” Miller also encouraged the minor’s transition despite knowing parents objected, saying, “When you become who you are, really who you are authentically, there is a joy that I can’t describe to you.” Syed’s testimony in Part 2 suggests these actions are part of a broader effort to alienate children from their parents, with catastrophic consequences.

This investigation by Project Veritas aims to shed light on actions that may impact parental rights and the well-being of children. The findings present information about individuals, including Miller, whose efforts appear to prioritize ideological goals over family unity and child welfare, allowing readers to draw their own conclusions.
