Westwood, N.J. – James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, was recognized this week by Forbes Magazine in its list of “30 Under 30” within the media category for his investigation of National Public Radio.  The investigation led to the resignation of NPR’s CEO and a vote in the House of Representatives to defund the taxpayer-funded organization.

O’Keefe, a resident of Westwood, New Jersey, started Project Veritas, now a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, in July of 2010 and quickly produced results with an investigation of the New Jersey Education Association.

Most recently, Project Veritas and O’Keefe exposed bias and unethical behavior within media organizations and schools of journalism.  The investigation “To Catch a Journalist” produced insight into the works of the New York Times, Rutgers University, Columbia School of Journalism and New Jersey’s Star-Ledger.
