James O’Keefe at Smart Girl Politics Summit
Last weekend I was honored to speak at the 2013 Smart Girl Politics Summit in Indianapolis. Smart Girl Politics is a dogged organization dedicated to educating and empowering women in the political process.
At the event, I discussed my adventures as a citizen journalist and stressed how women across the country can do the same thing. All it takes is an iPhone, a computer, and determination to expose what’s really happening in our government.
It’s as simple as filming a local school board meeting with your iPhone, posting it on YouTube and sharing it with your friends and teachers!
Thank you to Stacy Mott and Teri Christoph for inviting me, I hope I inspired some future citizen journalists.
