In 2016, Katie Couric was caught deceptively editing a documentary about guns in order to make it seem like the people she interviewed were stuck thinking of a response. In reality, they answered her questions immediately.

Project Veritas has decided to award her with the first ever Veritas #FakeNews Award, for ‘Best Deceptive Editing’.

We awarded the Washington Post with ‘Best Fake News Headline, 2016’ following this award. Let us know in the comments who you think should be nominated for 2017!
