On January 24th, 2018, James O’Keefe and Project Veritas celebrated the launch of, “American Pravda: My Fight for Truth in the Era of Fake News,” at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Over 200 supporters, former Veritas staff, and members of the (real, and fake!) media attended.
Of note, our dear friend and ally in the fight for true investigative journalism Michelle Malkin attended and spoke to the attendees about the importance of Veritas’ work and what she thought about James’ new book. You can watch the full video of her speech below:
Michele had some choice words for the fake news media that cannot abide Project Veritas:
“The problem with the Beltway media and the J-School minted media is they think they’re the only ones who get to define who is a journalist… What I’m hoping is that James and his team and this book, which should be assigned in every j-school in America, will continue this legacy of proud American muckraking.”
Covering the event were two separate crews from CSPAN, a few reporters and photographers from The Washington Post, and journalists from Breitbart and The Daily Caller.
Project Veritas was glad to have a ton of media interest at the event, but was most proud about having the National Press Club staff come up to James and ask for signed copies of “American Pravda.”
The most amazing moment tonight at our event at the National Press club: the wait staff all say they are fans of Project Veritas and wait in line to get signed books. One of them worked here for 30 years and said the work @Project_Veritas does matters so much. pic.twitter.com/acfu3mpgoo
